French filmmaker, Céline Sciamma, (Girlhood, Tomboy) presented Portrait of a Lady on fire at the2019 Festival de Cannes, where it won the Best Screenplay award. Many nominations and awards have followed, not to mention very warm reception from both audiences and film critics.

This LGBT period drama tells the story of Marianne (Noémie Merlant), a female painter hired to paint the wedding portrait of Héloïse (Adèle Haenel), a young woman who just left the convent. Héloïse refuses to pose, so Marianne is forced to observe her and paint her in secret. Their relationship blooms and grows more intense as they share Héloïse’s last moments of freedom before her wedding.

The Film Agency worked on alternative actions, grassroots and influencers campaigns for Karma Films, from the Spanish premiere at San Sebastián to its theatrical release.
