Abla runs a modest local bakery from her home in Casablanca where she lives alone with her 8-year-old daughter, Warda. When Samia, a young pregnant woman knocks on their door, Abla is far from imagining that her life will change forever.

Adam is part of The Film Agency’s Social Media and Digital Marketing deal with Spanish distributor Karma Films for which we are handling the digital strategy and asset locker of every new release. With a precise and careful look into female relationships and how society sees single women in the Muslim world, this Moroccan film by debut director Maryam Touzani premiered in Cannes in 2019. It was released in Spanish cinemas by Karma in November 2020.
