DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY FOR LOW EXPECTATIONS
For LOW EXPECTATIONS, we partnered with Salaud Morisset to promote the film, directed by Eivind Landsvik. We implemented a digital marketing strategy throughout its journey at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
Starring Marie Ulven Ringheim — internationally known for her music project Girl in Red — the film follows a young artist whose career falls apart, forcing her to return to her hometown. There, she takes a teaching job to make ends meet. At the same time, she faces depression and rediscovers herself in unexpected ways.
LOW EXPECTATIONS premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight and competed for the Caméra d’Or for Best First Feature.
From the outset, we set out to position LOW EXPECTATIONS within the Cannes ecosystem. We provided live coverage throughout the festival, generating visibility and helping the film reach the right audiences.
We also created exclusive content with the director, the team and Marie. Through interviews, we showcased the human side behind the project. In addition, we produced merchandise, including T-shirts and caps, helping build organic awareness around the film.
From Think Visual, we also developed the poster and trailer for LOW EXPECTATIONS. This allowed us to build a visual identity that captured the film’s world and connected with its audience from the very beginning.
Everything was designed to bring LOW EXPECTATIONS closer to its audience in an authentic and coherent way.
Through our Think Engagement strategy, we focused on promoting independent cinema within the festival circuit. The mission was clear: to help LOW EXPECTATIONS find its place and its audience in a highly competitive festival environment.
