Social Justice Film Marketing
For Soy Nevenka, we implemented a comprehensive social justice film marketing campaign alongside Buena Vista International Spain and its production companies Kowalski Films, Feelgood Media, and Movistar+, positioning this biographical drama as a purposeful cinematic event. Directed by Goya-winning filmmaker Icíar Bollaín and starring Mireia Oriol and Urko Olazabal, the film tells the true story of Nevenka Fernández, a 24-year-old municipal finance councillor who courageously reported her mayor for sexual and workplace harassment, becoming a pioneer of the #MeToo movement in Spain. We led the social media strategy during the world premiere at the 2024 San Sebastián Film Festival and its theatrical release, coordinating specialized content that amplified the film’s narrative impact and social resonance.
Our advocacy-driven film campaign approach emphasized the protagonist’s courage and resilience, building conversation around political accountability and women’s empowerment. We developed an awareness campaign for women pioneers in cinema that positioned Soy Nevenka as a film transcending entertainment, resonating with audiences committed to social justice and institutional change. The core of this strategy was establishing the film as an act of public recognition toward a pioneer, amplifying her legacy and enduring impact in the fight against harassment and political impunity.
